People generalize because generally generalizations work. Sometimes they don't, like with everything in life.
It's also very contextual and experience teaches you when generalization is a good fit or not.

You are making me a fallacy of false equivalence like another one I mentioned... you ignore that humans are biopsychosocial beings and are different from any other entity because of this… on the other hand, you don't have to analyze all the bears in the forest, just the ones that interest you according your necessities to make the best choice
