What happens though when you push someone into a role that they really really are not suited to?

Sometimes they grow into it, if that's their journey in life. Or... sometimes you end up with a grossly ineffective organisational structure that repeatedly fails at their core objectives while management fails to comprehend why. Eventually ending in termination of the unit.

Goodness I see this a LOT.
