In my mind the only social contract America and other Americans owe me is freedom of movement, association and thought. America owes me this respect as an individual. This is the bare minimum in my opinion and It’s scary when other Americans who wish to take that away.

Also, we cannot “force” folks to be good neighbors through laws. There used to be no question of this, now folks can’t trust anyone, anything, and are living in fear daily (regardless of political persuasion)…there’s a sickness about, and it’s tough to know how to “fix” this.
I had a guy come out of his house into his backyard and begin to yell at my four year old daughter and I for picking flowers on the community property behind his fence. He stopped when he realized he was screaming at a four year old girl and I gave him this look like “lol bro are you serious?”
But I mean pre COVID I doubt he would have come out of his house at all. People are seriously unwell.
