But yes! Lots of devs for both relays and clients have attempted multiple layers of solutions with various degrees of success. I use nostr:npub10qdp2fc9ta6vraczxrcs8prqnv69fru2k6s2dj48gqjcylulmtjsg9arpj and I can't see any of the spam from that guy or his army of bot accounts anymore after Alex added NIP05 + Proof of Work filtering.
