So I got to work today, and realized my tire was low. It took a couple minutes to find the leak and maybe 15 minutes more to patch it and air it up with the kit I carry. It was easier to fix it than change it.

This is the second time I've had that happen at work in the last year or so.

Oh and by the way if you don't have a reflective vest like construction workers and truckers wear, just put one in your vehicle with your emergency kit. I wasn't on the side of the road this time, but if you're ever stuck in that situation, it can literally be a lifesaver.

Good call on the reflective vest! I've got a tire patch kit, pump, and upgraded jack, but no vest in my kit. I'll be picking one up today when I do my run into town with my son!

I recently got some of those reflective triangles for my & my son's road kits.

This winter my teenage son slid partially of our dirt road and got stuck. A neighbor stopped to try to help him, mostly blocking the road on the hill. Some idiot, driving way faster than safe for the conditions, crested the hill at a high rate of speed with no where to go on the road. I was on my way to help him and saw the car barreling towards my son and his car and thought he was going to be killed. Luckily the driver drove off the road into the deep snow and missed him. I spent the next hour sitting at the top of the hill telling traffic to slow down and warning them about the road being blocked until my son was pulled out.

If we'd had the emergency triangles, we could put them out and it would let traffic know to slow down.

Yes great idea! Reflective vests and triangles are both available at pretty much any truck stop as well as online. In the US trucks are required to carry both triangles a fire extinguisher and most carry safety vests since a lot of shippers and receivers require it.
