block adverts network wide the easy way.

ad 76.76.2.2 as your primary dns and 76.76.10.2 as secondary dns on your router. those are malware/ad/tracker blocking servers from https://controld.com.

If you have an Android device, I would suggest using a app called rethink DNS https://github.com/celzero/rethink-app

It's one of the most underrated free open source software right now, in my opinion.

tbh

a) i wasnt looking for suggestions

b) this misses the whole point since its not network wide

c) i can use DoH when i am not on Wi-Fi

if you want to do a network wide I would use a pi hole and or use open wrt or snort have multi layers of security more layers more secure
