Iām ultimately looking to self host my bandās next release. I took out stuff off Spotify over a year ago and I only post here or the Fediverse, basically career suicide of sorts but I strongly believe we have to be the change we want to see in the world. Happy to see youāre getting a lot of love for your music here.
Thatās amazing though. I feel like thereās so much potential here, with this model, and also I get the sense itās still early days for Nostr. And I fucking hate Spotify. Not good for artists. I look forward to hearing some music from you!
I donāt know a single musician who does like them and even the likes of Taylor Swift and Snoop Dog have spoken out about not getting paid properly by them. And the model is very much āhey musician, go out there and advertise US, not youā. I donāt dig that vibe at all.
