i didn't know muting was possible on nostr, and i was happy about that. i used to mute on twitter and mastodon, but never felt good about it. always felt fake in a way. why not just unfollow the account?

i know why. you unfollow the account, they unfollow you, your follower count goes down. so it's all about maintaining a high follower count. fake followers.
