I want to thank everyone who was involved in the search for a table from Philip Strobel & Sons Furniture.

Especially @dorianbanks & @SandInMuhToes (on Twitter) who found this Strobel table in Fredericksburg, VA.

I am still the last Strobel in New York but (now) the only one with a piece of furniture from our ancestors.

In a way this feels like time travel, finding a piece like this. Philip Strobel and I never lived in the same lifetime, but we’re connected.

I don't know the journey this table has been on in its life, but I'm happy it's back where it was made in downtown New York.

Merry Christmas all! Now to break bread and have a German beer. ♥️🍻
