Not sure how I forgot about checking Obsidian, I use it almost daily. Any plugins you'd recommend for this? Or should I be able to do it without plugins?

Personally I use few plugins, I use the canvas to block ideas, and then I move on to fill with datas. I use the Kanban plugin for todos, if you need UML type of things I think there is some integration with PlantUML which requires a plantuml server though.

What type of features do you need in your diagrams?

Obsidian doesn’t have many lines types, but it can have Color’s on the cards and many other things

I basically want what Draw IO offers, I didn't know you could get that as a desktop application. I do like PlantUML though, to just use text to define the diagram. I'll have to play around a bit with the different tools to figure out which one I like the most.

Obsidian is pretty much versatile, is also easy to just grab datas like if the were in a database, and eventually make some simple html to visualise stuff. I used stuff like LucidChart (webapp), FreeForm (Mac). But since I found obsidian I quickly redrew the diagrams on it, I love that a card can easily become a note, and actually I see it fitting so well with Nostr notes..

Nostr supports long-form notes in md format, so it would be super cool to have something like this on Nostr, as it would mean kind of an internet with hyperlinks but also with back links, meaning one could know in which other pages a certain pages is linked in!
