Evangelical churches really are the worst thing to ever happen to Christianity.

Play emotional music or do some stupid performance. Tell sad story.

Read two sentences. Talk about it for 15 to 30 minutes.

Ask for money.

Go eat at crackle barrel.

Repeat.

When emotions replace the study of god’s word the believers are easily deceived. Nothing replaces personal bible study and personal prayer.

Personally speaking, yes.

However, for a church body's leadership and guidance, close theological study is necessary.

(Instead of emotions)

It should be a place to educate its community through Bible study.

Teach Latin, Greek, Hebrew, international study.

Just a waist what its become

Precisely.

For the most part, that has only, broadly, been the case for a generation and a half.

I grew up in these churches so it's kinda all I know.

My father has been effectively excommunicated for from the denomination he was ordained into for having made similar statements to his peers in leadership.

It’s like capitalism Christianity, right? Monetize everything hard. Monetize it as hard as you can.

Then tell the kids if they dont ask for forgiveness they go to hell. But they can technically do anything as long as they ask for forgiveness afterwards.
