Thoughts on Spark by Lightspark?

They have a Dev-friendly API and wallets are already being built to use it (e.g. WoS) marketing "Self custodial lightning"

I think it's not lightning at all, but rather a copy of Mercury Layer with the privacy removed. I'm not even sure if it is self-custodial.

Lastly, I can't ever trust Lightspark, the red flags keep rolling in.

🚩 David Marcus, of Facebook and Libra fame decided Bitcoin is the one true coin and he's here to fix it

🚩 Huge VC raise led by A16Z, allowing them to hire lots of talent, including Tadge (co-author of lightning white paper)

🚩 Launched on promise of "Enterprise grade self custodial lightning" but found that too hard so quietly pivoted to custodial for the likes of Coinbase

🚩 Bastardized the FOSS LNURL protocol to produce a Cucked version for banks and regulated institutions to KYC lightning

🚩 Now, unblinded the blinded signing service of Mercury Layer and calls it lightning for regulatory compliance. Another cucking of freedom tech.
