Lmao I always wondered how endgrain would behave in a thicknesser.. Good to know that it fucking explodes 😂👀

ATM these are my thicknessers, I'm in the market for a nice planer, but I don't wanna spend a fortune

Nice till

I’d love that #7

For thickness planers

I had the snipe monster delta for years, tuned it and gave it to my boy

I have the older version of this Cutech model, didn’t expect it to be as good as it is . Made a little sled for it and I can get down to 1/8” inches in tough interlocking grain . There is still snipe of a few thousand but can be managed easily with sacrificial boards or feeding back to back

Just remembered I haven’t fead this thing any endgrain yet

Might not explode?!

Whoa that's seems to be a nice thicknesser. Unfortunately Amazon Italy either has cheap Chinese junk or overprized decent stuff like the DeWalt 735 with flat blades at a whopping 800€ or a mid Metabo at 550€.

Yeah that #7 costed me a bit, but it's a joy to use. I only wish I would find some additional blades for replacement. The one it came with is too pitted on the back for my taste.

Nothing hurts more than pits on the back Of the blade ya just flattened

I’m pretty sure the cutech is China

Bro anything is better than a damn Einhell or a Schwepp combo jointer/thicknesser @ 300€

I had this exact model, it has a SINGLE blade, produces terrible surfaces, has at least 3mm of snipe and 180db of deafening noise.

Let's not talk about the fact that pursuing 90° was just a dream.

Couldn't get rid fast enough, sold it for 200€

Yikes

At least it’s red

As a warning perhaps 😎

I have two of those #5 jack planes, but need a jointer and block plane. Nice collection!

thanks! it's 3 years in the making and I recently added a second no. 5, a Stanley type 19, with the finest mouth possible. my record has an unadjustable grand canyon and tear out was a issue with figured woods. so I'll convert this to a fore plane and my no. 5 to square edges off.

thanks! happy hunt!
