Heya, anyone hosting their own personal relay for guaranteed post persistency? What software do you use? I checked, and #nostream could do this, but it's not totally dockerized as far as I can see (no docker images), and building with compose and upgrading would be a hassle if you'd ask me. #asknostr
Discussion
I use strfry hosted on my computer at home, listening on wireguard. Don’t need docker. Just compile and run.
I always think it was stir fry instead of strfry.
Thank you !
Heya, thank you for suggesting strfry, I didn't know about this software at all, and it looks it's way simpler, and I believe it'll cover my needs since it has whitelist plugin!

Oh and, THANK YOU for damus.io relay and other contributions too. I'm quite new to nostr, but I think it's maintained by you and it's one of the biggest relays so your contribution to the ecosystem so far is definitely invaluable!
yes i also built noteguard which has whitelisting and more:
I ran nostream for a year and a half. Upgrading was simple. I now use #haven though. I like the additional features.
Hello, thank you for the suggestion. I didn't know about this relay software neither. I believe This has all the features I need, even like cloud backup, and private relay, bundled, and written in #golang .
Also, one of the collaborators already dockerized it already:
https://github.com/bitvora/haven/issues/64#issuecomment-2645375855
https://github.com/aaccioly-open-source/haven
So I can expect a docker hub or ghcr image really soon, or even make myself using github actions. Thank you!
The built in blossom server is very nice for image hosting too. I just straight build from source. Good luck!
