I need my #nostr fam to guide me in my research.

For anyone following me or reading my articles, it won’t be a surprise to know that I don’t trust anyone or anything and rather self host or figure things out a simple way.

In the light of high on chain fees and resurgence in discussions around nostr:npub1jg552aulj07skd6e7y2hu0vl5g8nl5jvfw8jhn6jpjk0vjd0waksvl6n8n , I want to dig a bit deeper.

An easy self sufficient setup using on chain BTC is the following:

1. Create your own BIP39 seed phrase (dices)

2. Install Electrum Wallet or Blue wallet on an offline device

3. Insert your seed phrase in this offline device

4. Export Master Key to the secondary online device

5. Use your offline device to sign transactions

Now, if I would want to do the same with #liquidnetwork, I am not sure which wallet can sign Liquid Network transactions offline. Blockstream Green doesn’t seem to be able to do it.

I want to avoid using a hardware like the Jade. Any thoughts?

Yes, it is a really good informative video.

However, I want to stay away from Hardware (Jade, Ledger, etc).

I would want to see a Wallet that can sign transactions while remaining offline. The fact that you need a Jade to do that for me is troubling

Gotcha. I haven’t gotten that far in the video. I keep getting pulled into different directions this morning.
