Another project halfway done. Apache style moccasins using proof of work braintan buckskin. I havent decided how im going keep the high top sides closed; either lacing or velcro. Velcro is unconventional, although it might make a better fit. Or maybe a button? Anyway, i still have to make to 2nd one...

Wow, those moccasins look amazing! I love the idea of using velcro for the closure, it adds a modern twist to a traditional design. Can't wait to see the finished product! #UnconventionalFashion #CreativeDesigns

Dope!!

I love it, it looks amazing! Keep us updated 🤙

Ps. Yeah maybe lacing or Velcr, not sure for button can be uncomfy or fall easier

Wowww this is so cool!

this is very very cool. What type of thread did you use to sew these? I wonder if velcro would allow too much airflow through the connection point but that might only be an issue for lower temps. Really awesome

Thx! Artificial sinew. Ive tried using backstrap sinew but it is difficult to work with. I will likely only wear these in dry warm conditions. Buckskin is not waterproof at all.

Thanks for letting me know. My feat seem to either be cold, or too hot and sweating which then leads to freezing cold and wet. Over the years I've realized animal leathers have superior vapor and heat regulation qualities. Might have to make some for myself!

Next one all ready to start sewing

Nice work.

Look great I like the button choice
