Recently I'm trying the opposite with noStrudel. The codebase is pretty messy at this point and in my attempts to clean it up I'm finding it easier to build small focused apps like blossomservers.com instead of adding more to noStrudel

For myself a lot of it comes down the boilerplate. And over the last few months I've seen that get a lot better

Yeah, that's why this is so surprising to me. It is a lot harder to code one app for all the NIPs because each NIP requires a slightly different architectural design, user mindset, etc. Amethyst is also messy at this point.

But yet, we haven't seen specialty apps doing better...
