I used to have "Listen to the Divine Office while washing breakfast dishes" listed on my daily plan. It was that detailed. Now, I do it automatically, but at first, it was A BIG DEAL and I had to really plan it.
I try to link new things I want to do to other things I'm already doing because it's easier to expand a habit than create a new one.
I started to build habits back in Germany, then we were homeless and living at mum's for like four months, because planned reconstruction in CZ didn't go as planned. And everything flew out of the window. Then I got unbelievably swamped and broken, tired of it all and took me now 8 months to claw back to some sanity. The worst part for me is that kids don't wait, being sick changes nothing, there's constant push. Homemaking is haaaard.
It feels like saddling stubborn horse. Once it shakes you down it's pretty difficult to catch him and get back up.๐คจ And that bastard is still speeding up!๐

I noticed lately not every mum has it the same at all - obviously. But the differences are wild. I've heard girls are really more into clean hobbies, painting, good grades. My friends with girls start to comment as "thank god, I couldn't handle what you have." I have two boys and lately the left toddler stage and things got WILD. Fart jokes, penis boxing, always on the move and smearing suspicious substances all over the place. I imagine once I'll laugh to the times when I left them on trampoline and went just for icicles next door and found them covered in blood.
Nice. I'm her fan. I was a bomb for a girl and one of our sons is my copy. I imagine he won't be better since I make no effort to mold him into somebody else.๐I might even protect that smart rascal.๐ค๐คญ
I've been self employed. You can prepare for self employed. You can set a ceiling in self employment. This is often rather a wood chipper analogy.๐คจ๐
