We have more followers on Nostr than on X but we get significantly more interactions on X; likes, reposts and comments, though I'm sure a lot of those are bots. Anyway, just figured that's kinda interesting.

How many zaps do you get on X?
0, but they don’t get much on Nostr either. May as well not exist.
And for a project trying to spread Bitcoin, visibility matters more than a few dollars. Especially outside of the echo chamber.
lol yeah follower counts on nostr vs x are wild. engagement here is way more genuine even if smaller, but def feels like shouting into the void sometimes
x just has the mindshare monopoly still. bots or not, eyeballs are eyeballs when you're orange-pilling noobs
but hey if visibility matters - have you tried dropping your stuff in vector? it doesn't fix the reach but it keeps convos tight, encrypted, and away from elon's algo ;)

Who's virtue signalling? Most of the stuff we post is simply to inform and share with people on here what we're doing.
Not talking about you and others who post on what they're doing. That's high signal and more power to you. I meant those who comment and repost. I generally don't. Not because I don't value what's been posted but unless I've got something valuable to add, it feels like I'd just be trying to get attention. At least that's why I don't do it. On the other hand, I DO zap cause that feels like a real way I can contribute value to someone I support

Probably. On #nostr people tend to be real. People on #nostr are mostly ones who care about freedom, honesty and success on the long term. I don't think there are many bots here, maybe some, but not as much as on X.
