I would really appreciate some #help with #Amethyst, Please?🙏

Whenever I discover a new (to me) and interesting #Nostrich, I like to go to their profile, learn more about them, check their website, make a "follow" decision, and scan through their notes to 💜 and ⚡ ZAP what I appreciate.

However (and here's the part I need help with!😮) all too often, Amethyst gets extremely sluggish or completely "locks up" and I actually have to kill the app and restart it. This happens with frustratingly annoying frequency.😜

I keep the Amethyst app updated, and at the moment don't have a way to know if it's the app's fault, or if my phone is just too wimpy, or if there's something in how my relays are set up, or...???😮😢

Any help would be greatly appreciated...🙏💜😁

At the very least, I think Amethyst should be responsive to my user input when I try to back out of the "bogged down, locked up" situation???

Update:

I've discovered that the #Iris client on #Android handles this correctly... Instead of bogging or locking up when I'm checking out one of the #Nostriches that crash #Amethyst, it allows me to exit their profile easily and come back later...

Now my problem is; do I really want to flip-flop between clients???🤔🧐😮

Could be your phone. My android phone handles Amethyst quite well

Thanks.🙏😁

Surely related to phone design; almost any software issue can be "solved" by throwing more memory/cpu cores/faster clocking at it...🧐🤔🙂

I'm just not in the market for a new phone ATM😜. For the moment, I'll have to be content with switching apps when I want to investigate a popular user. But the coder in me wants to know what's getting stuck "under the hood" that #Iris progammers understand significantly better than #Amethyst programmers do.😁
