How dare you engage in capitalism in Canada?
Discussion
Christ Canada full blown fuckin up ๐ heres to hoping for better tikes with ur federal govt sheesh.
๐ฆ๐ณ๐ it's embarrassing. We all obviously don't like price gouging. And commodity, asset and consumer markets aren't all alike. And frankly, sometimes a bit of temporary government help is OK to right the ship or breakup an exploitive monopoly - wide open capitalism is exploitive...
But thus take is really hard to fathom. ๐ณ
Grocers could change $400 for an apple. Or give it away for free. They owe no one any answers. They're not at fault for rampant and consistent inflation.
This is such a bad passing of the buck.
Tag: nostr:npub1s05p3ha7en49dv8429tkk07nnfa9pcwczkf5x5qrdraqshxdje9sq6eyhe this is just such a disappointing take/response. ๐ the grocers have little to do with any of this.
The answer is clearly to implement price controls and give away more handouts.
Every economist knows that the govt can make groceries affordable if they hand out enough printed money.
