The Supreme Court has held that the federal government can imprison you for growing weed in your own backyard for your own personal consumption under the Interstate Commerce Clause (even though that isn't "interstate" or "commerce"). Gonzales v. Raich (2005).

Texas should absolutely ignore the Supreme Court.
