This pecan tree came from a pecan that sprouted in a pot that I moved to my current home. It reminds me of my old place, and it's now over 5ft tall. #gronostr #grownostr #permaculture

My wife has instructed me that I am to search our new land and find a pecan tree on it. And if I can't I am to plant at least one.
Smart woman! Pecans keep very well in the freezer, and they are my favorite nut. A handful of them makes a meal, or at least keeps me going for a while, so good survival crop.
Pretty much all of our fruit trees are grown from seeds.
