The US Census has a law that we, if selected, must cooperate with their questioning of our private lives' affairs. But all non-constitutional laws are subordinate to the US Constitution. I firmly invoked the 5th Amendment to the Census representative at my door years ago, and haven't seen any of them since. They don't want court precedent that their lesser law is invalidated and, therefore, no longer coercive to the fearful.
