One of the most dangerous “phrases” that we’ve adopted is YOLO.

I feel like most people have lost any self-control that they had. YOLO!

Most people don’t have any sort of discipline in looking after themselves. YOLO!

Most people are neck deep in debt. YOLO!

I’m guilty of it myself. Especially the discipline part. I’m working on it though.

The American dream.

Death and taxes.

YOLO.

Whether they were sinister or not, they have impacted us as a society and made us fat, lazy, and broke.

I hope our kids have more productive and disciplined phrases.

And we put an end to this bullshit.

Maybe Odell’s “stay humble and stack sats” will be adopted by the next generation.

Haha I’ve said “YOLO” thousands of times in my life.

I’m just saying the whole YOLO concept promotes a very high time preference attitude and poor decision making.

I am also guilty of it, and have also been working on better discipline. You are right that we have been lulled into this mindset which does not serve us and need to find a better path 💪
