Very much a dog human. I grew up with big dogs at home. Unfortunately I have not had any pets in the last decade as I travel too often. Someday soon.
I totally get that. I was in a similar situation for a long while. It's difficult to be a good dog human & travel a lot.

It's a massive responsibility and I don't want to let them down. 😄 I honestly don't.
💯 agree and respect that decision.
Many don't understand or feel the same and it makes for a terrible quality of life for the dog.
