According to Bloomberg nearly half of Vanguard 401(k) investors actively managing their money and over age 55 held more than 70% of their portfolios in stocks.

Imagine having to work your entire life and putting away money into stocks and bonds meant to protect your savings and now at this late stage you're still looking to compound your returns as much as possible before you draw down too much

Plenty of boomers don't realise that this won't work and eventually poor annual returns combined with inflation-adjusted consumption will see them eat into their capital and many are #NGMI

Even a small allocation to #Bitcoin could offset it, but sadly people have to find out the hard way, and many will never find out until its too late

I think it’s more that they have more than enough and just want to get the risk premium on stocks over the long term. Boomer parents don’t only think of themselves like young people do😂

Also, stocks are a hedge against inflation, I daresay just as good an inflation hedge as bitcoin
