If you had only one lifeboat, would you risk its structural integrity to allow others to run experiments to increase speed, etc.?

I can't help but feel that bip300 could potentially be used maliciously, just as taproot allowed ordinals.

There’s unintended consequences of ossification too early. Like not being able to make every bitcoin user self-sovereign and forced to use custodians.

It's a fine line for sure, but once changed, you can't change it back...

With bip300 you can.

It’s a backwards compatible soft fork. So it can be reverse quite simple if Bitcoin core chooses to.
