gm, today is an important day for #Julian #Assange and for press freedom all around the world. Today, we'll see how much integrity the UK court system really has (or how corrupt it really is). The US wasn't able to guarantee first amendment rights for Assange because that is something a US judge would have to decide when in court. They also said they wouldn't prosecute Assange on death penalty offences but if they're going to lock him up in a small concrete cube without windows for multiple life sentences, what's the difference?

Both of their guarantees are nothing but empty words and legal sleight of hand. Journalism isn't illegal, exposing government corruption, overreach and killing of civilians isn't illegal. There is no reason Julian should be in jail anywhere. #FreeAssangeNOW
