Mrs Jed and I were just talking about this 10 minutes ago. School choice is basically the only map we care about these days.

I’d rather raise a future generation in some hellscape with love and respect than plant trees in prime soil and perfect water for my gentrified grandkids to sit under and talk about how much they hate me.

I can’t imagine not being the one raising my kids, teaching them life’s lessons, teaching them math lessons. They’re the only reason I #permaculture.

In the Cold War, military sites and transit hubs (especially points of transfer) were of utmost concern. Now, eh. Because terror and unrest doesn’t hit traditional mil targets.

Very true. I guess I really only consider states that have similar levels of freedom to Texas.

Ease of homeschooling is definitely something I take for granted here.

We have zero interest in outsourcing our kids education to the state.

Right now we’re actively looking for other families to create a homeschool pod with in central Texas. Then we can switch off days of teaching with different areas of focus based on each parent’s skills/interests
