US Senate questioning the Singaporean TikTok CEO 😂
Discussion
😆
Makes Tom Cotton look like an ass, but I’m sure that’s what he was going for.
interesting exchange
What a shitshow, on both side.
Do you understand Singapore? Do you understand Chinese heritage and influence in Singapore and other SEA countries?
This man worked for:
Goldman Sach which led him to…
DST Global, Russian investment firm where he handled investment into Chinese businesses like Alibaba et Xiaomi
That led him to work for Xiaomi (we know who controls them)
Then joined TikTok via ByteDance
Tik tok algorithm DOES work differently in different regions.
When asked if TikTok has ties with the CCP the answer seems to be always something else than simply “no”.
Don’t trust this man.
I definitely don't trust him just as I don't trust Zuck or Elon. But the questioning from the senator could have dug into these interesting avenues of questioning instead of "yo are you working for the CCP?"
He was able to come off really well here because the bar was set very low.
🤣
