nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm I've just sent 150,000 sats to the #AlbyHub on-chain savings address to open a channel and the hub now shows 134,592 sats. What happened to the rest?

Opening channels costs sats in onchain fees and the LSP that opens your channel also charges a fee. Would STRONGLY recommend opening larger channels in the future. Almost all beginner lightning issues trace back to small channels. I would advise ecash and custodial lightning unless you have at least 500k sats for a channel, with 1M being ideal. These unfortunately are the realities of lightning today.

you missed the point that this was an on-chain transaction from one wallet (my funding wallet) to the cloud's "savings wallet". You then use that balance to open channels. There is no reason that there should be any amount deducted from what has been sent.

Did you also check to see if it’s the channel reserve? There’s also always an amount set aside to be able to pay the onchain fee to close the channel in the future.

wow. did you read what I wrote?

Sorry bud just trying to help. A channel reserve would be an example of an amount that is deducted from an onchain fee. Sorry if that’s not helpful, I will move on.
