Many users hope that freerse's Android version supports Amber remote login. Is there an app similar to Amber on iOS? I used nostore before, and it seems to only support web login but not app login.

The most important thing on nostr is the user's private key, and other data is stored on relay and is also public. If you can log in through Amber remote authorization, it can protect the private key very well. Does that mean #nostr users don't have to worry about whether the client they use is open source or closed source?

What do you think about this?

storing keys in #amber (foss) to use with a closed source client i suppose would be preferable, but i would never use a closed client to begin with, even if it never saw / stored my keys

I would like you to share more about your views on closed source💜🫡

avoid it amap especially for storing sensitive info like your keys. btc & nostr #foss is a must imo. then it depends on the individual, but i use very few closed apps

thanks for your sharing 💜

So far, I haven’t seen anything for iOS. I tried nostore too but ran into the same problem. I didn’t care for it.

As for the open source vs closed source question I don’t think it’s that big of a difference. Yes, open source is cool. But not having to paste your private key into every app should be the goal regardless. It would make for such a better mobile experience. Especially when people want to use multiple clients.

There's nothing for iOS yet but there's some people working on it

Wow, you developed Amber. I will ask you for advice when I develop it later. 🫂💜
