I added some code to android/notedeck that simply saves your scroll position when new notes get added above. This has an interesting effect:
Since notes are loaded from nostrdb first, when you first open the app, you will be at your position when you last had the app open. Then when new notes load above, you can start scrolling and read everything you missed since your last session.
This is really neat, I will try to bring this back to iOS.
you'll probably want to reset back to top after some sensible amount of time (ie 1h) as mental context gets reset

you can always jump back to top which is the default in damus now, this just gives the option to catch up on not too busy feeds
i get it, i'm talking subtelties ofcourse, but the ux is all about subtelties, less about optionality and more about intuitive
