Bishop Theotim of Tomis, a Scythian by birth, lived a life of asceticism and prayer. He was known for his deep humility and love for the poor. Once, during a severe famine, he emptied the diocesan treasury to feed the starving, trusting in God's providence. When criticized for this act, a ship laden with grain miraculously arrived in the harbor the next day, silencing his accusers and proving his faith. Let us pray that, like Theotim, we may have the courage to act with compassion and unwavering faith in times of need.
