i just had a quite long chat with a relative of my intermittent house neighbours, he was born in the area and told me lots of things about the land and real estate around this island.

it was pretty cool, actually. he told me that the exact type of land that i want to get to build my hermitage goat ranch on is basically worthless on the market and nobody is trying to sell it, and even, the local council wants to buy it for 1 cent per square metre.

he told me he knows a guy who has a vast tract of it nearby further up the side of the mountain and i think that probably in the future i will have no problems getting something, just a matter of cooking up the plan for how to get a dwelling set up and basic infrastructure connected up, once the money is accumulated to do it.

i love it here in this shady little valley on the wet north of the island.

hopefully i can stack enough sats to make this happen in a few years.
