anchoring stuff to blockchains is one of the earliest nonsense ideas to sell to stupid exchange traders since after the first wave of PoW altcoins

almost everything that has ever been hyped by shitcoins has been nonsense and i'm just allergic to all of it, period

anchoring things to the blockchain is an extremely useless idea

putting the newest block hash into your data, on the other hand, is practical, like showing today's news paper in a photo, only a very small number of people could have known what it was yesterday and that's it, it is impossible to fake the data of something that was unknown until a given date

but anchoring that in the blockchain, meh so what lol what does it prove?

you're obviously jaded from the overhype and frankly lies that 99.9% of alt coins have used to give the whole space a bad name. there's not much I can do about that. this is not that, but at this point I dont have time to convince you, and what would be the gain?

indeed putting a hash in a chain is proof of publication, and that work was extended with peter todd's opentimestamps, which is one of the nostr NIPs

peter todd later went on to advance his work on proof of publication to show that events can be both before and after certain time stamps

i happen to think the intersectoin of bitcoin taproot and nostr npub is under utilized. you may not see innovation there, but if others do, it would be polite to just let them work.

if you want a solution for total ordering you should be looking at Interval Tree Clocks

still waiting for someone to find a way to make use of that, i tried to cook up something back in 2022
