Figuratively. I want Bitcoin Core burned to the ground and rebuilt.
There’s no reason to push such obviously divisive changes without ulterior motives. The arguments just don’t add up.
who is going to rebuild it?
there are 100 core devs who contributed to core in the past 500 commits. your plan is to replace all of these devs familiar with the codebase with who exactly
all because a non-consensus parameter was tweaked, a parameter which has no affect on what gets into blocks. seems completely reasonable 🙄
If the circus that this has escalated into is the best those 100 devs could manage then they may as well be replaced with 100 monkeys.
The meritocracy is you refer to is broken. It’s a pool of entrenched insiders passing themselves gold stars.
You complain that non core people just don’t understand the technical nuances. But half the room is telling you YOURE GOING THE WRONG DIRECTION. But you’re deafened by your own collective arrogance.
