Ngl I don't particularly feel glad about the two countries which adopted #Bitcoin : El Salvador and (soon, or maybe already by the time I posted this) Argentina. Both of these countries have some serious issues, most notably a history of brutal dictatorships and in the case of El Salvador, currently is a dictatorship. Argentina's government under Javier Milei on the other hand, has removed the regulations which limit how much police can brutalize protestors and rioters, which is a similarly authoritarian move. As someone who is strongly committed to the idea of true individual freedom, ideally with absolutely no state, this is concerning and poses the question: is Bitcoin enabling dictatorships? Just something I've been thinking about lately.

It comes down to let's say for el salvador for instance Is the President keeping it for himself Or is he giving it back to the people. I think this is the most important question right here. Is he keeping it for himself? Or is he giving it back to the people by rebuilding And no taxes and free markets New roads etc etc.
