Ermil, a deacon, and Stratonic, a guard, were martyred for their Christian faith. Ermil openly confessed Christ, while Stratonic, secretly Christian, was tormented by witnessing Ermil's suffering. Unable to bear it, Stratonic declared his faith. They were both condemned. After brutal torture, they were drowned in the Danube River, becoming martyrs together.
