The truth can hurt. My public identity has a lifetime membership. It is what it is. The more open systems will be the winners. Systems with an opt in, value for value, and variable payment system. Systems designed for when Bitcoin is more than niche. Decentralized, inclusive and purposeful.

I was early. I wanted to support. Its a well enough made app but too exclusive. Information is ideally free or low cost. I also understand that makes development expenses difficult to justify. It's easier to stay in touch on here or on X. If I want to be seen, I will appear. It wouldn't take much to make a beacon app on Nostr ties to GPS to announce your location to those whom you choose to.
The paywall primary job is to keep all the noise away, since our goal is to get people together in person we have a responsibility to not let everyone in. People don’t want to meet total strangers even if they’re in bitcoin, there needs to be some filtering mechanism. In a way is similar to bitcoin where everybody has to pay to use the network.
