Nostr already has videos. Tik Tok, aside from the data collection and algorithms for social engineering, is really just a UX convenience for short video creation, hosting and sharing.

A censorship-resistant Tik Tok functionality actually has potential to be kinda lit when algorithms don’t boost communists to socially engineer the US youth. Of course nostr users should also be able to entirely filter out that type of content if they want.
Yeah, that definitely makes sense. I guess I don't really consume that kind of content (short videos). So when I hear people asking why is there no nostr based TikTok, my immediate response is why the would anyone want that? But I get where you're coming from, at least on the UX side. Gotta make the things that people want.
