My Bitcon #Knots #node on #StartOS #Start9 has taken over a week to get above 70%... I'm using old crappy hardware I put together, but this still feels like a really freaking long time to set it all up!

Yeah that's gonna take a while. I am building nodes on the cheap with local college surplus Dell Optiplexes with i5 8th/9th gens and new WD Blue 7200 RPM HDD's. On Umbrel, it's looking like 5 days average.

I have a Raspiblitz running on a Pi and an external USB HDD, and it's at like day 15 and still a year behind.

Maybe consider turning off txindex and bumping the dbcache to 4gigs (if you have the RAM). Also, isn't start9 defaulted to only do tor? That could be an issue.

I increased this a bit. And I think TOR is enabled by default which I didn't expect. I'm working on turning that off now.
