I wish I had these skills
to be fair, the learning curve is steep but just for the first couple of project. watch a bunch of videos by the masters (Paul Sellers, Rob Cosman, Chris Scwharz) and dive right in with a minimal set of tools. it's impressive how much you can achieve in a short period of time.
I was a complete beginner just a couple of years ago, now I am a beginner with a bunch of projects under my belt π
screw & glue?
the legs are just screwed to the carcass because the bottom plank wasn't thick enough for them to be mortises in.
the carcass is dovetailed and glued in place.
the perpendicular runners are just screwed with an oversized hole to allow for wood movement
