How many spam calls a day is normal? I get about 6 a day on average, pretty consistently

Ok. Based on this large sample size of 3 of us (most of nostr), I'll draw conclusion I get them abnormally often. Ty
I think iPhone has a function to automatically block any number calling you that's not in your contacts.
Yeah, using one. I get the probably spam warnings on more than half I'd say. Thought I had those blocked now that you mention it... but may have disabled for good reason a while back. The rest just show up as toll free numbers or just a number.
If someone is not in your contacts, do they even matter? π
That's probably the issue I had. Yes, at times lol. I get almost no calls at all from contacts π₯²
Ungrateful little fuckers. No soup for them!
COVID and GrapheneOS upgrades did this.
Something tells me you're right but unaware of what those Covid tracking updates (which I thought I'd turned off!!) enabled, and no clue what grapheneOS (the de googled phone?) has to do with it, unless they're somehow able to make all these calls or change numbers easily.
I thought you were asking how many times a day it's normal to spam call people so I was gonna say 0
It's a regular thing each day for me. Not exaggerating number either. Just mildly annoying. Someone replied that Covid and grapheneOS are responsible, I think seriously, but didn't elaborate. Definitely crypto exchange data leaks are part of it too (get plenty of the emails and texts still, though it's died down)
0/zero engage then i block/np anymore here
once in a wile, i remember just listening for a bit & then they wuld hang up
My favorite feature on my pixel is call screening. The phone will talk to them, and I see a text of the conversation. If it's worth picking up I can answer at any time. Amazingly useful. It will do the same while I'm on hold too, monitoring the call and notifying me when I'm needed.
Damn, that's pretty good. Now that you mention it I feel like I've seen or interacted with that before. Let's go Apple, making us look bad
The on-hold thing is such a timesaver. Just go back to whatever you're doing and the phone will ring once there's a person on the line. I was initially skeptical but it works perfectly. It actually feels a bit like living in the future with an AI assistant π
Ryan over there living in the future. Jellyfin, relay, nodes, AI assistants...
I'm always trying π I remember having a third gen iPod, this one, before Apple was popular again.

All my friends thought I was crazy for spending so much money for an mp3 player when you could just burn CDs. 3 years later they all had one π
I was a couple years later to getting an iPod. Probably said similar stupid things too. I remember arguing my blackberry was better than the iPhone π
There still thinks I miss about my BlackBerry actually π₯² being able to type one handed without looking at my device π― and the unified inbox was great.
I thought I was good with it. No look one-handed is HNL
Mine had bumps on 2 of the home row keys so you could touch type easily. I spent a lot of time on the road driving so it was very handy. Sadly that doesn't work with current phones π€
4/5
