I unironically think a lot of answers that people are currently looking for regarding recent developments are in some mob / mafia book or maritime piracy and how they operate , any book recommendation ?

Edward Luttwak -- Coup d'Etat

Thank you !

"The Economics of Organised Crime" is a bit theory-heavy, but it covers the logic of how organised crime and government make money.

"The Commission of Inquiry into Possible Illegal Activities and Associated Police Misconduct" is a timeless classic and a much deeper dive:

if it doesn't mention the Jews, Central Banking and Usury then it is useless

Bro, it was published and sold, legally.

You can read between the lines, though.

Havent seen a book on maritime piracy and how it operates at the upper echelons of crime syndicates... It must be gigantic though. Considering I remember reading about single men in make-shift submarines smuggling cocaine from south america to north america along the western coast line!

Transnational organized crime (Global Institutions) -- Frank G_ Madsen -- Taylor & Francis (Unlimited), London, 2009

TU for the rec !

More than welcome! I still think of the modern crime networks still being comprised of values going back centuries if not a few millennia. Not just values too but alliances and constant opposition between two sides for as long as time.

Need to throw in some imagination a bit I think too besides just looking at the pure facts we get presented. That shit's too vanilla and I'm starting to doubt whether victory is truly written by the victors. Maybe the victors are simply just the best marketers 🤔

Those submarines are all unmanned now I heard

I read a lot of mafia books in high school. Wiseguys was my favorite. The movie Goodfellas is based on that book, but the book is great.
