When you build a foundation, you do it with future resilience in mind. With privacy, we’re not building for what the world looks like today, but what it will look like 10, 20, 30 years from now. To build for today means you’ve accepted that nobody will encroach on your rights any further - a very naive way to approach building a foundation. Paranoia is good. Id rather see a paranoid foundation than a trusting one.

I agree, from a software development point of view.

But I disagree from a mental health point of view.

I guess that depends on true individual and their personal threshold on the level of acceptable paranoia while remaining mentally stable.

True = the
