Please enlighten me, how you do all this for free (correct me if I'm wrong). When I see having to run a LN node I have to spend a minimum of 200,000 SATs to even begin transactions.

That's because it's custodial wizardry: when you deposit, the invoice shown is not your wallet, it's the LN node of the mint you selected during the setup. Then the mint, once receives the payment, mints to you some ecash tokens, that are something similar to gift cards. The balance you see is of these rcash tokens, pegged 1-to-1 with sats.
