It depends, I asked weed plebs in the coffeeshop and they said they would pay. I started investigating if I could write a simple relay that would run on a ESP32. Would be go for smallish group of plebs to use.

I was intending to use an sd card for persistence; or include eMMC card for cost savings. In chip memory is very scarce. Could create something amnesic, single user that stores last few msg. There ~300KiB ram on the chip

Saola-1R (esp32-S2) has 4MB flash onboard w/8MB PSRAM.

Similar specs for the esp32-S3 dev boards out there.

True! I should order a board with PRAM, mine doesn't and I didn't think that using the flash would be a good idea (wear)
