#comfrey on the bites can prevent them from blistering. Dr. Christopher makes an excellent salve that I use. works very well if applied immediately. Great for minor cuts & scrapes too.

To get rid of them, #orangeoil. find a orange oil based degreaser, spot treat, deep soak. if you don't get the queen they be back quickly.

I'm in FL and have pretty much eradicated them around my house.
